As an aside, note that a Herky logo has been added to the 50 yard line on the practice field; I don't recall that being there in the past? If it has always been there, disregard this speculation. Maybe a Herky will be added to Kinnick's mid field?

They added a Tigerhawk to the practice field last summer when they installed new FieldTurf.

No big deal. I think it looks great and a lot of us have wondered if maybe it was a preview for what they'd do at Kinnick when they install new FieldTurf, which is supposed to be either this year or next - I want to say this summer.

The logo does look great. Hope they do exactly the same thing on the Kinnick field.

Last fall Barta said they hadn't decided yet about logo at mid-field when it was announced they were replacing the field turf this year. Guess we'll have to wait and see. I think they actually make it happen.
