Villanova up 2 with 20 seconds and 2 fouls to give. Butler dribbling around at top of key killing time down to maybe 10 seconds. Why not just foul? Now they have 10 seconds to get set up. Foul again if you need to. But no, just let them dribble around and score.

Would anyone think it would be harder to score with 7-8 seconds left or 20 seconds left? Shorten that time increases your odds of a stop. Seems obvious to me and you see it happen often at the end of halves or games (by most teams).
