IIRC Fox Baldwin wrestled at the Dapper Dan and the announcers stated he had won his 5th State Title in Florida the night before and flew up for the Dapper Dan meet. They said he had a record of 399-2 .........

How are Va and ASU giving out so many schollies? Approx 10 for the whole roster of approx 30?

Good chance that Arizona State is using five scholarships for this class alone. In my opinion it's well worth it for that type of class.

They need to generate interest in a damn near forgotten program, and do whatever it takes to get back on the map. They're off to a good start it appears on paper.

Pretty sure he beat Marinelli in the most recent Super 32 as well...

I said in another thread we need at least 1 top 10 overall recruit each year (2 would be even better).

For 2015 Kemmerrer is ranked #13 overall and I'd put him over Shields, Krivus and Kolodzick so we can count him as a 10. A good start. Turk is #74 and Wilke #92.

For 2016 Marinelli will be top 5, great start now what else can we do.

Earl at D1 has Kemerer as the #10.

2016 has consensus top 10, probably top 5 after beating Manville - Alex Marinelli. Targets: #1 Hall and top 10 Suriano

2017 Mejia is a top 10 prospect.

A good start.

Both schools are just beautiful. Virginia takes a back seat to very few schools for academics and have you ever seen ASU co-eds. I would take a half of a ship to either school vs a whole one at most of the traditional wrestling powers.

I think Rudy Yates will be moving into the top 20 when they re-do the rankings before next year since he just jumped a couple classes. He beat the current #20 Mckee.

Don't forget...ASU also has Nikko Villarreal-another 3x CA state champ who greyshirted this year. Will most likely redshirt next year(as will the Valencias to try to make the Olympic Team), then all 3 of them start at the same time.

While I agree those things are alluring, and fine places to be, when you get 20,000 + at any University on the planet, you're going to have dolls galore. Iowa City is full of them.

Granted, in Arizona you're wearing less clothes year round but .............................
