As a cyclist and a runner, I have tracked my VO2Max for years. Have always been above 60, and my max HR is over 210 bpm. Everyone has a different (ultimate) ceiling though, and is why certain people are “born” to be endurance athletes. Everyone can certainly improve though. People also feel different at different levels of exertion. I know some (in shape) people that redline at 160 bpm, while I can sit at 180 for extended periods without noticing. my resting HR is in the 40’s though.
