Unfortunately, when it comes to awards and the like, Luka has the Iowa "albatross" hanging from his neck. I would have hoped by that either Ferentz or McCaffery would have changed that by now, but instead we continue to be that "nice program," that never quite achieves greatness.
How in God's green earth does ESPN get away with dividing people in to categories like "men" and "women"?
It allows them to give out twice as many awards and make the show twice as long......
This isn't intended to be political, per se, but it is about ESPN and what they look for. I believe Lawerence will win the award for voicing his opinion on the movements last summer. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with him voicing his opinion or about the topic he was speaking on, but this is an issue ESPN has been pushing.
