VOTE: Should Iowa men's basketball players be banned from Twitter?

Can you imagine an Iowa football player talking smack on Twitter before a game? Well, that will never happen as long as KF is coach, of course.

Should Fran follow KF's lead and ban Twitter? Remember the Zach McCabe incident? How many times have we heard about players getting attacked on Twitter? It seems like a huge distraction.

Or should Twitter be allowed but more strict rules/guidelines be put in place? Ie, no trolling; no responding to attacks; etc.

Basketball and football are different animals, I like the freedom Fran allows his players. Not sure that would work in football but in hoops I don't think it elevates to the same level as football.

I'm with both of you. I'm 34 and a teacher. I see the positives but the negatives greatly outweigh the positives.
