Neimann ran a 4.6. LeShun was 225. Measurables aren't everything. Yes, I've gone . . .

Can't take this stuff personally. Just business. Hell, there was a run on punters in the draft...a long snapper got drafted. A rugby player who has never played a single down of football got drafted.

Crap happens when crazy draft stuff like this happens. Wadley and many others were the "victims".

Wadley will get the same chance as he would if he were drafted anyway. Should he have been drafted? Based on performance, hell yes. But I also understand why he wasn't.

If he weighed about 20lbs heavier of muscle he would be the perfect style of RB for the modern NFL. A Marshall Faulk type hybrid RB/Slot WR.

But at his size, and considering NFL RBs are very replaceable nowadays, I can see why a team didn’t want to invest a pick on him and would rather take a chance on getting him as an udfa. He’s got too 3 round talent, but you can’t invest a top 3 round pick on a guy that might possibly be injured most of his likely short career because of his size.

I know it is a completely different position, but look at how rarely Bob Sanders was healthy in his career. He was a game changer when on the field, but missed more than half of his possible games because of injuries. And he was a brick house of muscle, just in a small body.

Who are the 4 P.O.S. s.o.b. that voted no?

I just voted No...Justin Jackson barely got drafted...JT didn't...Akrum had 5 years to gain 20 pounds of muscle and didnt...but I hope he sticks with someone, he is the best Hawkeye I have ever seen in space since the guy who threw the Rose Bowl ...

Although I voted yes, I’m not surprised that he didn’t. I’m even more surprised that Welsh didn’t get drafted...and pissed he landed with the skins.

I hate to say it but Akrum would have been better off leaving after his junior season. If my memory serves me correctly, he was a probable 3 round pick after his monstrous junior season.

Justin Jackson, 2nd Team All B1G from Northwestern, goes No. 251 out of 256 picks...AW, 3rd Team All B1G is No. 257...not a big deal; Chargers liked Jackson better, could've gone either way.

Yes Wadley was good enough to get drafted. On a semi-related note, if you are upset that players are peacefully protesting by kneeling during a song, you are the snowflakiest snowflake out there.

Bob had injuries consistent with someone who had TOO much muscle for his frame. I hate to say it, but PED's were likely involved.

OP asks a trick question. I voted no, only because he wasn't drafted. I may be wrong but he wasn't drafted so I guess I'm right?

I do think he was draft worthy. I do not think he would have started or contributed much this year, though.

Tiki Barber was the same size as AW when he attended the NFL combine.
Darren Sproles was actually smaller than AW when he performed in front of scouts.
I could go on and on. They made a choice as is their right. But they make mistakes, and just like with every draft, some team will look back and say, "We drafted THAT guy when we could've drafted Wadley!?" I would take Wadley over Justin Jackson.

Whoever brought up the idea that he was at Iowa for 4 years and couldn't get over 200 pounds is spot on. Situational backs are pretty common and that is how he was viewed. Here is a interesting analysis.

Note Tiki Barber was 203lbs and shorter. Sproles was a brickhouse and ran a 4.49 while bench pressing 23x. 5.5/187 is a "ball of muscle".

Barber was 190 at the combine. Sproles was fast, but so is AW when someone is chasing him.
Also, packing on weight can do 2 things.
Make you slower and make you more prone to injury if your build is slight.
Daniels was thick.
Lemme ask you this. Between Daniels and Wadley, who was injured more often? And who was capable of more at RB?
Be honest now.

203.

I'm not telling you I dont think AW is capable of playing in the league I'm telling you what the knocks on him were. Sproles was very situation himself. Based solely off your question I'm going to assume Daniel's was hurt more. It's all risk/reward and the reward of a situational back compared to the risk of a 195 pound jitterbug getting injured was not enough for the GMs. This isnt a wddt/iowa/joel/KF thing all 32 owners came to the same conclusion.

The poll has spoken and polls are never wrong, unlike NFL coaches/GMs. There's a reason most of them have short careers.

I gotta take it personally. It's affected my health. I'm in therapy becuz of this. I need help. I can't live in a world where WADLEY ISN'T ON AN NFL TEAM. I got my priorities straight.
