Wadley shined tonight

I thought Jackson did well tonight as well. I watched CJB play and he didn’t look stellar.

Just not ever gonna be accurate enough I'm afraid, at least to be a starter. But there are worse ways to make a living than being a career backup. Hell, who knows...Jimmy gets injured, CJ may get some serious rope there. You never really know.

Certainly a better opportunity than Ricky ever got.

San Fran's o line did a very poor job of protecting CJB. He was under pressure for most of the plays where he was trying to pass. On the few plays where did he have to chance to go threw all his check downs I thought he threw some very good passes.

Led the team in rushing and receptions and returns. Lot of GMs feeling pretty stupid right about now.

As a competitor, I'm sure CJ wants to be out on the field.
But a 7-10 year career as an NFL back up QB would be pretty damned sweet if he can stick around.

He’s kind of the perfect backup. Good teammate that won’t undermine the starter, but talented enough with the right amount of swagger to impact a game when needed if he’s feeling it.

CJ probably won't be in the NFL for more than 1 more year. Teams will be looking for a back-up/starter that can elevate the team. CJ has to "prove" he can and hasn't.
Wadley didn't "shine". I think he can, just didn't do it against Green Bay. Poor rushing and recieving numbers with a fumble. The kick-off was very late in the game against scrubs with the game out of hand.

And I thought I was a debbie downer

Have to agree.

Turnovers kill in the NFL.

He could've been having a stellar night in all facets, but one fumble will erase that in the minds of most coaches.

Ball security is critical if you want to make it in the NFL as a RB.
