Oh what a surprise, IN is overrated again, or they are just playing under their talentless coach. Will Crean get the same treatment as Rhodes did this year?
It's Crean, and living here, it's fantastic. Tomorrow will be a fun day at the office.
Don't watch many games that Walton does but I generally think hes just a goofball who surely knows basketball but clearly doesn't even pretend to care about the teams hes watching, unless its UCLA, and really doesn't care what anyone thinks or about the repercussions of what he says.
I think its funny because I don't care about most of those teams either, but It would probably not be funny if It was an Iowa game.
They should set up a Walton, Barkley called game just once for the spectacle.

And the fact it's not every year makes the BTT a joke. Indy is tailor made for those events.
Indiana is basically the same team as last year. Their shooters will keep them in games and help them win some, but if the opposing team has good bigs they will struggle since they don't have a good inside presence. Thomas Bryant is good and I think he'll get better as year goes on, but he can't do it by himself in Big 10 play down low. Wake Forest was picked to finish dead last in the ACC and they completely dominated Indiana on the boards. They outrebounded the Hoosiers 43-30 and had 18 offensive rebounds.
Walton is a huge fan of cannabis but I wouldn't use that as the excuse why he's so weird. He just is. People have used it for thousands of years and not acted like him. Anyways, Wake Forest sucks but when going up against a talented IU team coached by Crean....they may as well be the Dream Team. How does he keep his job?
Good stuff 84 and having been saying this about IU...same team as last year what I am seeing and that I need to see teams like IU get out of their friendly confines and win a game or two and Maui is hardly a true road test but a neutral site. And again, Wake Forest....that's weak sauce there.
PU and MSU look tough to me but they too need to play in a hostile environment true road game but they do look like the better BB teams....so far, along with Iowa.
It's too early to know how the B1G race is going to shape up, but I am glad that Tan Tommy coaches IU.
I remember watching Indiana early last year and thought they looked unbeatable. They looked pretty impressive again last nite. It's early and I don't think they will look as good or be as good as they looked yesterday. I agree, Crean is going to keep them down.
Indiana is a good example of what happens with highly ranked recruits that all want to score but not do the dirty work. Their defense is a joke. The question will be if Bryant and Bielfeldt can give them enough rebounding, and some of the good coaching Bielfeldt got while at Michigan, are enough to raise their results.
Near as I can tell the other guys just used their presence as an excuse to do even less of the grunt work. But, they are indeed a very talented group of individuals.

Crean has consistently underproduced with great talent. I will be surprised if they finish in the top 4 in the Big. I just hope he doesn't get fired. Same thing with Groce at Illinois.
He consistently under achieves yet kids keep signing with him and he keeps running off kids that don't pan out every year to make room for them. How can parents and handlers keep sending them his way?

LMAO!!! I know, right? Sure he keeps reeling in talent but then he wets the bed. Just awesome. I love it when rival programs retain horrible coaches.
