Wal-Mart loses it's bid for a new trial after firing a 15+ year employee with Downs Syndrome.

Why in the world did Wal-Mart keep fighting this case? They fired a woman with Downs Syndrome after radically changing her work schedule, and failing to make accommodations for her. They've been throwing good money after bad racking up legal fees and bad publicity.

Sometimes companies get so big everything is just a number on a page. I doubt any of the bad press had reached anyone of a high enough pay grade that wasn't looking at just numbers.

Especially when they could just be done with it for $350,000 (which is nothing to them) and rehiring someone who worked for them for 16 years.
