I know Warner is in Russia training or at least was training. Does anyone know if he is headed to Fargo this year? I will be out there and always like to try to watch multiple matches from a kid if it permits. He is definitely one to watch because he is always scoring. I know the trend of late has been seniors that graduate and are committed do not attend Fargo as much as they once did which is why I ask. Thx in advance.

Think they left on the 23rd and where gonna be gone for three weeks. That puts them back on the 14th and Freestyle is first this year at Fargo starting on the 15th so I'm gonna say you probably won't see him there.

Kid made Warner work. If there is a knock on Warner it's that his gas tank isn't always there. Iowa room and workout partners will change that.

Actually, he has a pretty good tank. Huffed and puffed a bit at Cadet Worlds but only really got threatened to get scored on twice...Kerk was in deep but Warner was able to defend pretty easily. If anything, Warner will have to put on grown man muscle which he should be able to do his redshirt year. Notice the physical difference between him and Moore...it was pretty big. I think his strengths are technique, positioning, and handfighting.

Kerk is a big rangy kid who has already spent a lot of time throwing around the weights it seems. Much more room to grow...he looked to be the same size if not a little bigger than Warner. Going to be tough for him to hold 97 IMO unless he just stops growing. He's green but you can see the potential.

Agreed on Kerkvliet's lanky size. He doesn't cut to make 95 though.

You know he doesn't cut to make 95 but didn't know he wrestled 195 all last season or that the match against Warner wasn't a bump up nor was it close?
Think so, sophomore Kerkvliet bumped up a weight at the Clash and lost a close one?

Umm, guess I didn't know what Warner wrestled and if they met at 220...which he wrestled a few times at that tourney.
Not sure I like having my own little troll. Flattered though.

Don't be flattered. Just realize there are people around here who follow national HS wrestling pretty closely. So, if you are confusing opinion for fact, you might get called on it.

The important part you seem to be overlooking…… The kid didn't bump up to wrestle Warner and it wasn't really a close match.

The "meeting at 220 and not sure what Warner's regular weight class is," appears to be a smoke screen that you are putting up, imo. But we really don't care about that part.

Two kids who regularly wrestle at 195 met at a tournament, at that weight and the Iowa recruit beat your guy rather easily. That's what matters to most of us.:D

Umm, what you are NOT getting is I thought they met at 220, and didn't realize what Warner weighed in at! It's that simple. Continue posting nonsense.

Who's we? Can't stand on your own and have to bring others in? lol JOKE
