Not sure what everyone’s take on this podcast but does Kevin Ward carry the biggest negative attitude or what? Just an arrogant dude that has nothing to be arrogant about. It’s a good show and I like it but this dude just drags the entire show to the drain.

I lost respect for them once they asked listeners to help pay for podcast equipment early on. As time goes on and they get further from the program, they will be more and more cringey.

I guess it depends what you are looking for from a podcast because I like them. They get great guests and I feel like it gives a sense for what it’s like to be part of the program from a player’s perspective. If you are looking for insights into what’s likely to happen in an upcoming game or something than I agree it’s maybe not the best source for that.

As someone above said, I only listen when they have a good guest and I pretty much never listen to just the random episodes where it’s just them riffing on whatever happened in Iowa athletics that week.

I used to listen. But Kluver became insufferable through the Brian Ferentz debacle. They seemed to spend more time roasting fans than providing actual insights / critiques.

They normally had a good lineup of guests that give some good nuggets of information. I remember one story someone told about how Jack Campbell never gets tired and is a workout warrior. While other LBs and DBs were sucking wind during sprints, Campbell would blow by them like it was nothing.

Yea. I agree on this. I like them. I listen to them. But the amount of gaslighting with Brian Ferentz was almost unlistenable. I know they played for Brian but trying to justify anything with him just made them look silly.

I do like their honesty though. This latest episode Kluver said, “I don’t want to say we got burned by Cade.” And then Kevin interrupts and says, “We got burned by Cade. What the heck are you talking about?!?” It made me chuckle.

I used to listen back in the day, not much anymore. Kevin was the only guy on there I could stand. He knows his stuff. Kluver is just a guy who likes to hear himself talk and Drake was just batshit crazy.

Agreed. Cult-like.

Their KF impressions are worth a listen alone. The episodes with guests are the best by a long mile. I've listened since the beginning so I'm too addicted to stop now.

I'm not the target audience. Sometimes I can't tell them apart. I respect Kluver for trying to create something.

I don’t listen regularly but I like Kevin Ward a lot. He has a great perspective having been a team captain. He is also more grounded. God bless Kulick and his broken leg but his takes could run a little hot.

The podcast is probably not for Ferentz haters and haters of a successful football program.

yea... those guys support the program... its natural for fake fans to hate those guys
I don’t listen but found it annoying on twitter last year when Kluver’s response to fans frustration with Brian/offense was basically “get a life, you are a loser to care this much”. I understand when people hold that sentiment, but my assumption is that people paying your patreon or buying your merch are the type of people invested enough to be mad when part of the team struggles. Just felt tone deaf to me but maybe he doesn’t care if WuW fades to irrelevance.

I really enjoy their shows, it’s not for everyone, but they know that. At the end of the day it’s just some buddies having fun and donating to a good cause.

there are more than enough avenues for the negtards that like to complain about anything and everything.
Cory B and David E are 2 of the best when it comes to attracting and encouraging the negative whiny fans.

It's nice to have one source for those of us that actually support the team.
I think Kulver and Kevin do a nice job of appealing to a very large portion of the fan base that is not as ignorant and outspoken.

I enjoy the podcast for the most part. I’ll fast-forward through segments that don’t interest me but I think it’s generally a fairly entertaining and occasionally informative listen.

WuW are certainly open to criticism on a number of bases, but to highlight Kevin’s arrogance as a primary criticism strikes me as nothing short of bizarre. He’s a pretty understated guy and never dwells on himself. “Arrogant” is one of the last words I’d use to describe him. We’re all entitled to our opinions, but that one is just weird and out of left field, IMO.

I take your point on the less outspoken piece but being fed up with Brian doesn’t make fans ignorant.
