Not a fan of the Washington football team, but this still seems pretty sorry.

"As Washington prepares to change its name, it may have to deal with a man named Martin McCaulay.

In recent weeks, McCaulay has squatted on several potential names for the team, via applications filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. It’s not a new hobby for McCaulay; back in 2015, FOX5 highlighted McCaulay’s effort to get ahead of the curve."

When I first saw this it seemed silly to me that we allow this crap... until I saw he spent $20k doing it. Sheesh.

I would appreciate changing it to DC anyways. It took me years to figure out for certain which side of the country the Redskins played on. It’s a better name too.

DC Redtails, DC Knights, DC Generals/Captains.

Or.... just get rid of the dumb mascot. No reason they can’t have the Dallas Cowboys vs DC.

How many sports leagues outside of the US have nicknames? Korean and Japanese baseball (Hokkaido-Nippon Ham Fighters just rolls off the tongue), but I really can't think of much else.
