Watch Pemsl and Wahlert vs. Senior free online

He seems a little off from what I've seen. Not sure why they're playing him out on the perimeter. Good passing.

First time I've seen him. I'm happy he is a Hawkeye and my limited guess is he is a tan Mark Gannon with better ball handling.

Seems to be looking to pass most of the time tonight. When he looks to score, he scores. The spin move was great. It seems like he could have double the points if he was looking to shoot every time he gets the ball.

Great old school reference. Gannon was a helluva player ruined by a knee injury. Really a great athlete who at 6'6" could out rebound anyone. Good hops and a muscular build. Sweet shot, too. Let's hope Pemsl has a better recovery.

Gannon was a pretty good player. Helluva player? No way.

He was a helluva HS player. Who knows how good he could have been if he hadn't tore up his knee at Michigan.

That was my thinking with the comparison. :) A couple of thick body power forwards (You are a power forward Cordell) from Eastern Iowa that just overpower the usual competition. I saw Gannon in high school and granted last night was the first time I've watched Pemsl, so this is just an impression not an evaluation. But I thought I saw a Gannon like player. More a basketball player than an athlete. Meaning he is good at the game.

And yeah, the knee. I admit it makes me nervous looking at that brace, but the kid played a lot of minutes. After Gannon was hurt he couldn't do that.

Seemed like a natural to me....takes what comes to him. I think Fran will teach him to play hard all the time. Saw some walking on the court tonight. I was impressed though with his instincts.

How big are the kids from Senior. Looking at Quikstats it appears they play a lot of freshman and sophomores.

Senior is not that big, but shot lights out (70%?), and played the better floor game. Congrats to the Rams. Wahlert lost because guard Wedewer got in foul trouble and Wahlert had about five or six unforced bad turnovers. The Valley Division of the Mississippi Valley Conference is really, really tough (IC West, Linn-Mar, Cedar Falls, Senior, Wahlert).
