After an impressive senior season that saw him rack up 50 tackles and 10.5 sacks, Waukee LB/DE Jake Morrison is headed to Iowa. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Morrison announced today that he has accepted a preferred walk-on opportunity with the Hawkeyes.
"I've always wanted to be a Hawkeye, so I'm going to go after my dream," Morrison told HawkeyeReport.com.
A defensive end in high school, Morrison will start out his college career at linebacker for the Hawkeyes. The Waukee native chose Iowa over walk-on opportunities at Iowa State and UNI and scholarship offers at Minnesota State and Sioux Falls.
As a senior, Morrison led Waukee with 50 tackles, 15.5 TFL, and 10.5 sacks this past season.
