Here's the scholarship distribution for the next 4 years. If anyone can figure out how to insert a table in here, it would make this much easier/clearer. I think this is accurate but if you see something that needs changing, let me know.

2026? 7th grade?

Soooooo......does Iowa take one more from class of 2022? Technically they have 2 more spots, but Bluder never uses all 15. If they do take one more from class of 2022, it would most likely be a true guard. Taylor McCabe? (Also on All-Iowa Attack with Stuelke, Gyamfi, & Affolter)

here is recent article on McCabe

I'm guessing Iowa takes 1 more in 2022 and that said player will either be a PG or a combo guard. There's no one else in the 2021 or 2022 class that plays PG naturally. In 2023-2024 Clark's only backup at PG would be Jensen or a freshman if we don't get a PG in 2022. That's too thin for a competitive team, especially in a system than can have 3 PGs on the floor at once.

I've mentioned this before, but I'm really happy Iowa is getting so many players from All Iowa Attack. It's a great AAU program, and there has to be some benefit (especially early in the players' career) to having played with so many of the same players for so long.

Obviously a good point guard is needed, their recent offers to ('22) Saniah Tyler & ('23) Lisa Thompson only confirm that. They also recently offered a post ('22) Beatrice Culliton too, with the commitment of Jada Gyamfi I don't think that changes because it sounds like they knew they were in a good spot to land her.

Edit: Another player (c/g) to keep an eye on for '22 is Payton Sterk out of Colorado. She is in Iowa right now with her Colorado Premiere team including commit Addison O'Grady.

c/f or c/g? Iowa certainly would welcome someone that can play center and guard!

Jada Gyamfi, junior-to-be at Johnston, commits to Iowa women's basketball
Her older sister will be a freshman at UNI

Jada Gyamfi, a 6-foot-2 junior-to-be from Johnston, has announced her commitment to the University of Iowa women’s basketball program.

They offered me last year, and I wanted to accept on the spot,” Gyamfi said. “I grew up a Hawkeye. My grandparents are Hawkeyes. My mom is a Hawkeye. It’s a part of me and my blood.”

Gyamfi, [...], joins Cedar Rapids Washington’s Hannah Stuelke in Iowa’s Class of 2022. They are AAU teammates for the All-Iowa Attack, along with 2021 Iowa commit Sydney Affolter.

Blue Star has Gyamfi as #78 in her class, which is higher than Stuelke (108).

Iowa now has 3 AIA alumni on its roster. Two (Caitlin & Shateah) are freshmen this year and the third (Megan) is just a sophomore. Current AIA Sydney Affolter will sign her loi this fall and join the team in 2021. In 2022, when Hannah and Jada join the program, Iowa will have six AIA alumni, five of whom are native Iowans. Including non-AIA Iowa native Logan Cook, Iowa will have a decidedly ‘home grown’ roster. I hope this will completely dispel the crazy notion (nonsense) that Iowa only recruits out-of-state players.

Audi Crooks, a 6'4 post from Algona Garrigan that Iowa is showing interest in received an offer from Maryland today.

Totally realize you can't base it on two games of HS ball, but I was bored and watched her play on TV twice at the state tournament. It seemed like she was dominant simply because she was so danged big compared to the competition. She certainly wasn't overly quick and didn't exactly dazzle with ball handling. Again she was a frosh (I think) so plenty of time to smooth out the edges, but just saying. Obviously folks who see a lot more than I do are interested, so....

Her AAU team has close ties to Iowa St. but I don't know if she has a favorite school or leans toward one or not. I too was surprised with this offer based on how Brenda likes her teams to play, Audi at this time in her development at least doesn't appear to be a great fit. She has only had MVC type offers until now but likely will see bigger schools step up soon.
