ESPN's Charlie Creme, in his final Bracketology. has Iowa as a 3 seed. Hosting in Iowa City versus Liberty, with the other pod teams being Washington and Arkansas.

He has ISU in as a 12 versus Ohio State. Predicts 7 B1G teams. Maryland get a #1.

Interesting... Wants a potential rematch with 11th seed Arkansas, who beat Iowa in non-conference.

I think the Hawks would welcome a rematch with Arkansas. The loss came in Las Vegas. Iowa was distracted by the Neon lights and didn't play well.

While I believe that Iowa would like a rematch with Arkansas and I would personally like to see it, it is not likely the actual pairings will match ESPN's predicted brackets. Also, if Arkansas were in Iowa's bracket, it appears that they would be an 11 seed and would need a first round upset of the 6 seed to have a chance to play Iowa (assuming that Iowa is awarded a 3 seed). Speaking of Iowa's seed, I would not be surprised if the committee under-seeded Iowa with a 4 seed. If not, the committee could under-seed one of the 1 seeds to a 2 seed. Of course I am half joking, but half serious also. A rematch with Louisville is a distinct possibility if Iowa can make it into the round of sixteen.

Go Hawks!

The really great thing if they get to host was that the Women's NCAA changed the criteria this year so that you have to be one of the Top 16 to host. The team set it as a goal at the beginning of the season. Looking at their schedule (Top 10) it looks like it might be a long shot. They would have to play well in the preseason (they did), finish high in the B1G (they did, 14-4, 2nd place),and stay healthy (for the most part, a few here and there). And here they are, on the verge of earning a home court.

Will the Iowa women's game possibly end up being Friday at a similar time to the Hawk's men's game?

Iowa got their #3 seed. They play Friday at 1:30 vs. American. The other game starts at 11 am. #6 Wahington vs. #11 Miami.

What, Charlie Creme correctly predicted Iowa's second round opponent? Talking about a genius bracketologist!

Looks like it's on ESPN3. Guess I'll be watching watching CBS on the TV and getting updates on the women on the computer.

Just realized that this will be the second time in three years that Miami FL will come to Iowa City to play in the NCAA. The last time they seemingly got turned over every other possession and were handily beaten by Iowa. This year does not look any different.

It's a shame the game is Friday afternoon. I thought the point of the Top 16 teams hosting was so there would be crowds in the stands.

Friday afternoon should be a good time for students wanting to start their weekend early with some excitement. I'm hoping for at least 8000.

I don't know about that. Do all the students leave campus on spring break. If so that would not be good for attendance. I hope this team gets good fan support for the tournament. They deserve it.

Most students leave for Break. Not that it will make any difference. Only a few students ever come to games anyway. And those are usually players from other sports. They have tried all kinds of promotions (including free NCAA tickets and $5 NCAA tickets for this Friday) but none of them will show up.

I just hope that the 3 or 4 students that regularly show up can make it on Friday. The student support for the women is a joke joke joke.

We, students, are not there. It's break. And I nor any of my friends are planning to cut our vacation short to drive back to Iowa City.

Would you have gone if you were not on vacation? If so, good for you.

Absolutely. I've been to 5 women's games this year.
