One of the more underrated actors out there IMO. I can't think of a role that I saw him in that I didn't like his acting.
The guy was legit and I agree with you that he was very underrated.
Actually yes I have seen Dogma.
Although my post doesn't necessarily indicate that I've seen every movie he's been in. If you look at his Wikipedia page it appears as though he's been in quite a few.
Don't you find Dogma blasphemous? God isn't really a Canadian female is He? There really wasn't a 13th apostle and most certainly wasn't black. I mean the Ten Commandments I could understand, but Dogma doesn't seem like your cup of tea.
It is right in my wheelhouse but, unfortunately, I believe it to have fallen short of above avg entertainment.

There wasn't a 13th apostle but all of the apostles where middle eastern, there where no white apostles just as our savior was not white.
The movie was clearly anti-catholic in nature, that having been said, I missed the part where the movie claimed to be factual.
I knew a Lutheran pastor who had a buddy Christ. Actually had a good discussion with him about the iconography of the buddy Christ and it's essentially being representative of religion that try to remove self sacrifice and suffering that comes with that faith.
Compare for example the sacred heart of Jesus in Roman Catholic iconography.
