Not much to talk about yesterday.....the team got cocky and got a BIG reality check! Hopefully they get back to work the rest of the year. The loss could end up being good for them! It was a reality check that ought to last the rest of the season. Then again, I thought the rose bowl was enough to keep em hungry all year .

A loss to NDSU is a helluva lot better than a lost to ISU. Iowa State is one of the worst FBS programs in football history. Kirk can't consistently beat them so we sure as hell need to get rid of them.

Maybe we should drop ISU and have NDSU take their place.. They are more than a handful us.. Until KF and the gang can consistently handle business against teams we are "supposed" to beat I'm off this let's play USC and Alabama and FSU and Oklahoma in the non confr.. We don't need them to come to Iowa City & beat the snot out of us when the MAC and Mid Valley team fit the bill so well..

On the occasions when the Hawks have been rated and lost to ISU, did you ever drop 15 places in the polls as a result?

part of the problem is Iowa seems to show up hungover half the times they play lower competition. I thought maybe that was over after they showed up against ISU, but apparently not!
