Totally enjoyed it. My buddies and I wore out the old aluminum johnboat rowing as kids, but I never have stepped into a scull. That is a major workout.
It was interesting to see no pic daughter and her boyfriend react to the depiction of shanty towns during the depression and how people would do anything to secure food and shelter. It was kind of a classic poor boys vs. the rich story with a good ending.
Another thing I was glad they saw was the Nazi “coming out“ party at the Munich Olympics. Jesse Owens had a “telling“ part.
So many of those who experienced the Great Depression and WW2 years are leaving us daily. I will miss them greatly.
