We won't get no respect until we get a win like WI did...

Las season ended perfectly fir the easy schedule doubters... we lost a close one to MSU and both IA and MSU go on to get slaughtered in their respective bowls. I think the Michigan game and possibly Wisconsin will provide a couple opportunities to show this program is legit. We sure as hell didn't prove it against Stanford.

You won't get no respect unless you take a little bit more control on the English language.

In case you haven't noticed, Wisconsin isn't getting any respect for their win Saturday. The conversation has all been about how LSU blew it and how Les Miles didn't change anything from last year. No one is talking about the game Wisconsin played.

On the college football show Sunday morning on XM (ch. 84) one announcer was spouting off how LSU was the better team on Saturday because they have "better athletes". Lou Holtz had to be the voice of reason. Lou Freaking Holtz. If he has to be the sane one on your show, you need to just stop. The SEC has one great team this year. There are probably 4 or 5 great teams this year (although it's really hard to say for sure at this point).

As for Iowa, if Iowa wins all of their games they are in the playoffs. If they lose one, they are not. Same story as it is every year.

Actually I hadn't noticed but not surprising. The Newsies who ranked LSU #5 couldn't risk giving Wisky any credit. I watched a lot of that game and Wisky looked to be in trouble at times but their defense was sterling in that game. I suppose you could blame it on Miles and LSU but I was impressed with the Wisky D.

Well, I think LSU probably had the "Better Athletes", Problem was their "better athletes" couldn't get past Wisconsin's defense. Pyrrhic victory, maybe.

I think that game down to Wisconsin understanding who they were playing and what their weakness is. They very smartly had 8 guys in the box and dared LSU to beat them in the air. Balance is a good thing against the Badgers defense and LSU does not have it.

I was drinking and probably not as observant as would be nice but what you say makes sense.

I only time I care about respect in the way you are speaking is when they are deciding who goes to the CFB final four. All the crap before that is validating people's need for fame.

This! They are still saying wisky is going to be sub par in the Big. If we were to beat them it would just confirm their bias. Pitiful but true.

In all honesty it was a very strange game. It was one of those games where it was hard to tell if the defenses were great or the offenses were not real good. Or it could have been that the coaches didn't really adjust Very well during the game to the other teams defense. One quarterback had a rating of 6 and the other one had a rating of 33. Nevertheless it was a great win for Wisconsin but I think LSU loses a few more games before the end of the year.

In the big picture how much respect will Wisconsin get if they lose 3 or 4 games? They beat a talented but very one dimensional team. It's a nice feather in their cap but it's a long season and they will face tougher matchups.

Watching Ole Miss and Florida St tonight. Those two teams have a level of athleticsm that the Hawks do not. Doesn't mean the Hawks are a bad team, but they're behind the curve. The schedule is, in fact, a goldmine.

Neither of those teams have the level of physicality that Iowa does. Doesn't mean the Noles and Rebels are bad teams, but they're behind the curve.

We would do just fine against FSU. Ole Miss looks pretty salty on the lines but their secondary is weak - it would be a good game. Beathard is better than either QB.

Its hard to argue that. After what I sat through in Pasadena last year....Why would anyone believe?

Iowa got a win like Wisconsin just did...when they went to Wisconsin and came out with a win. If Wisconsin had won that game, they would have been playing in the CCG and ranked in the top 10. Iowa won, so they didn't and weren't.

Beat Wisconsin and the Hawks will earn the respect.

Wisconsin & Michigan are big big games this year Hawk Fans. Division and conference title implications.

I love it.
