Weather Saturday

Derrick Foster was on the HawkCentral podcast this week and mentioned that they already went over cleat options with players.

LOL. They build a gagillion-dollar practice facility, but don't have a natural grass field for practice so they can save some money on fertilizer and lawn mowers.

Plus, Penn State has one of the best turf grass schools in the USA.

Here's a little known product for football shoes. Football spikes made like golf spikes.

Please stand up if you've ever heard of these bad boys.

hopefully they make gloves big enough for Stanley to get the left hand glove that served/still serves CJB so well ;)

Lol I’d maintain that field with a mower and a spreader for a couple hundred bucks a week.

Plus, grass doesn't really grow in November. I sill prefer that they use natural grass, for what it's worth. Evidently the players don't really care though so I guess that's the most important part.

Weather almost always changes this far out. Still a long time until Saturday. I'll bet it's sunny but a little chilly.

Weather Channel still forecasting a "Noreaster"..... wind and rain. (1-2 inches of rain). This is a big system. Seems unlikely to miss State College.

I think heat in the summer is the primary negative of artificial turf.

I don’t know why we don’t hear more about this. It gets over 150 in the sun.

Accuweather now says 50% to 60% chance of rain during the game tomorrow. Not great, not terrible, but it's still uncertain as to what the weather will actually turn out to be. The only thing we can be pretty sure of is that it'll be the same for both teams.

Noreaster overnight into tomorrow morning. Tailgating should be awful. Noreaster last year during the big ten hoops tournament in nyc and it was pretty miserable to say the least

I won't shed any tears if some of the Penn St faithful decide to watch the game from the comfort of their homes.
