Did I miss any other name changes? Appears to be largely the same group of malcontents. Who are the newbies? Any good threads I need to read through since leaving y’all?

@DFSNOLE , I told you I’d be back! Though, I have to say, the lack of constant politics was nice.

Working, traveling, raising kids. Life is good. Hectic some days, but good.
Hope you haven't been watching FSU football during your time away.

Hopefully 3.5 hours of trash didn't ruin an otherwise GREAT experience!
20 years ago, it would have ruined my day. Not this time. The whole trip was great. Drank a lot of Guinness, visited Galway, the Cliffs of Moher, Giants Causeway. Did a black cab tour of Belfast. I’m ready to go back. Absolutely beautiful country.

I need some clarifications on the new overlords that took over back in March. Are we much more totalitarian? Want to be clear before I start saying what I really think.

Nah bro, this is as close to open racing as this place has ever been. Dude posted legit hard-core porn on here and didn't catch a timeout. The retards don't even get their feelings hurt when you say retard anymore because even they realize we took a left turn into Retardville somewhere around 2022.

I was in Dublin too.
I have been meaning to take my father back to the Motherland for years, but we never got around to it. His health is in rapid decline, so I am going to try to put together a trip here in a few weeks.

I know nothing of the place. Figure a few days in Dublin and build around that. I know a bunch of the Noles were there for the game. Any tips on stuff you did?

I lost my mom last year and she never got to go, so do it!

It’s a very walkable city and safe. Very clean as well for a city of that size. There’s a good public transportation system and easy access to cabs and ride share (download the free now app).

St. Stephen’s Green is beautiful. Epic The Irish Emigration Museum is really well done. Any number of pubs. If you want a really good dining experience, we did Bastible, Uno Mas, Piglet Wine Bar and Hugo’s. All great meals.

Of course, I’d say the Guinness tour. If you do, I’d say do the Connoisseur Experience is well worth it.

I may think of some others and circle back.

We arrived in Dublin from London late afternoon and only had one full day in Ireland before game day, and returned to Dublin for our flight home.
We did the Hop On Hop Off Bus but beyond that we just went to the Temple Bar and surrounding area like the thousands of other Noles we saw.
I think Dublin is a nice city and we stayed in the south suburbs which are extremely nice - but to see Ireland I’ll need to go back there and spend several days seeing the countryside. I want to get to Kerry which is where my ancestry is and because it’s called the most scenic part of the island.
We flew into London and spent most of the week there and I’d like to get back there as well.

I’ll second this. While Dublin is awesome and I could easily live there, the countryside is unmatched.

Yeah, I want to do 2 or 3 nights in Dublin and 5-6 nights touring the countryside. My old man did the ancestry stuff, but I’m not giving my DNA to any of these shitbag companies. I will have to get info from him.

I’ve never given any dna, but the museum is a museum. Yes, you can do the ancestry stuff at the museum, but the museum itself is worth it on its own.

I took my ancestry information from my grandfather and uncle who traced to Cork, Tipperary and Dublin from way back in the day.
