Not so much cards. :)

Expensive penthouses and apartments in New York City.

Mansions and other nice homes in Beverly Hills and the Hollywood Hills.

Old sports cards and memorabilia.

Toys from my childhood (Star Wars, GI Joe, Transformers).
Had G1 Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Soundwave…

Audio equipment. I sell so I can buy other equipment. It's an addiction and I am not rich! But I check out the audio sites constantly.
Audiogon, Hifi Shark, US Audio Mart etc.

McIntosh amps and sound equipment, extremely interested but cannot justify the cost.

FYI they were just bought out by...

wait for it...

Bose.

Very curious what if any changes will occur. McIntosh is one of the very very few brands than seemingly never changed what they were, yet survived.

Read somewhere that a lot of traditional name brands are in danger of going away next year - seems like a lot of them aren't doing very well at the moment. It's a tough market for new audio equipment, and it doesn't help that a person can buy inexpensive quality gear made in China.

Yep, same here. Haven't bought or sold anything this entire calendar year, which is a first in over 3 decades for me. I simply don't need anything at the moment.

I also seemed to "fall into gear" all these years...given stuff, finding a steal here and there. This year though - nothing. And I hit up a shitload of garage sales this summer...pickings were slim to none.

Doesn't mean I don't still "window shop" now and then though.

It's unfortunate, I have some Bose equipment and have never been super impressed with their "hollow/flat" bass. McIntosh used to have car audio years ago and I realistically would've purchased a Jeep nowadays due to their sound system.

Astronomy grade telescopes. I always wanted to build an observatory in the country side.

At my heigh day, I owned scopes that weighed between 50 pounds and 85 pounds. In your 20's, they feel light. In your 50's, they collect dust. Thankfully, due to the advances in optics and imaging, I can image even better with a 5 pound scope these days.

I also enjoy fine cars, planes and high end watches. Sometimes, it's tempting, then I watch pilot debrief and I'm like nyah, there are better ways to go.

Bose recently acquired McIntosh. Hopefully they don’t listen quality, but rather infuse cash to keep up the quality.
Oops, late to the thread, I see this has been discussed.
