Back and forth all game, lead changes, guys going to the floor and just playing hard. That was as gutsy as they come. What a fun game to watch.

Fun game to watch. One thing for sure, these freshmen don't take any sh!t from anyone. I like it.
This team grew up a little bit tonight. I was impressed how our freshman handled themselves. This team will still lose some games, but dang they played well tonight. That win is going to be HUGE come late season.

They are a scrappy bunch and don't back down from anyone. I love it. Pemsl with the tie up throwdown and the attitude after the fact w/out getting T'ed up. They are not a group that is going to be pushed around from this point forward.
They got beat up tonight...but grew some toughness in the process.

Iowa has a great chance to be very good for the next few years. This team has some special players with special talent and they will keep getting better. One of the blessings of having so much talent is they practice against talented players everyday. I am so excited about this team. Man, are they fun to watch.
Most impressive of all was how hard they battled underneath, but when the whistles blew and players were scrapping for the ball, no one on either team lost their cool.
Both teams were just beating on each other, and yet civility and sportsmanship was the MO whenever time was called. That's impressive for really young players.

That's why I enjoyed this game so much. The game was extremely physical and competative, but no one on either team lost their cool. Just some straight up gritty basketball with a bunch of big shots hit in between.
Just a joy to watch.
