Of course it is always much easier to say what Sorenson should have done from my position watching it on TV, BUT...it sure looked to me that BS could have won that match. Overall, that was a HUGE improvement from where they were relative to one another v. last year, but I would have REALLY liked to BS take some shots in the 2 one minute, on your feet, OT periods.
Nevertheless, given how much progress BS has made since last year, I would not be shocked to see him beat Retherford in a rematch.

Carl implied that Zain wasn't feeling well. Regardless, that should build Brandon's confidence and give him a legit shot.
Carl is a flat out insecure pussy/fraud if he indeed said this.
That was arguably the best match BS has ever wrestled.
Z was stalling and should have been called for it. I felt the same about Gilman in the third period.

CHA has made a lot of opposing wrestlers feel "under the weather".
Carl kinda implied that, but he didn't actually come out and say Zain was sick. Just that he didn't look right.
Well, he didn't look right cause BS was wrestling pretty tough.
Sorensen matched if not surpassed zains pace on his feet and was able to escape from underneath multiple times. Something no one has done in college for a couple years. I have a feeling that is the main reason Zain looked "off". If Sorenson wrestles this pace against everyone else we will have a finalist, at minimum, who gets a lot of bonus points at NCAAs.
Carl also said repeatedly that Zain is the toughest guy he's ever known. I took that as further emphasis of Zain being under the weather.
Like I said before, BS wrestled a tough match and he can beat Zain. Whether he does do is another matter.
Agree about Zain. Suriano should have been hit 2 or 3 times the first 2 periods. Gman should have been hit the 3rd period.
