He will be about 50, will have the legal and admin experience as a Gov, and is from flyover country. A middle american liberal on a few things like abortion but mostly a moderate from what I understand. He ran a very good re-election campaign and was re-elected by a big increase in margin at 5%.
Look at the Dem candidates that the won the presidency since WW2. Truman from MO, Kennedy was an easterner outlier and just a very good campaigner and politician, Johnsone from TX, Carter from GA, Clinton from ARK, and Obama from ILL (no effing birther jokes here from the cheap seats).
The Dems have a lot of great leaders in Congress from the coasts but the middle of the country is where the Prezses come from. Spitsker from IL doesnt seem quite as good but good. Whitmer but it seems our males half of the electorate dont want a woman and then add in 20% Repub voters and a woman loses.
Newsome and Shapiro are probably to coastal. Any one want to get on the bandwagon?
