What if we are 0-2 to start?

Gonzaga is a Dec 19 game. I am thinking there will be a few more games mixed in there.
Sounds like the Tourney games will be Nov. 25th weekend. So we probably won't be 0-2.
Yep, we will get some prep games prior to UNC....and then UNC prior to Gonzaga. I like the progression.....a couple warm ups (oil the machine) games before a serious step up to UNC, and then the next step up to Gonzaga. I LIKE the progression.

Schedule I can look at shows those 2 games and nothing more, that's what I was going on. The idea is the same, if we lose those 2 games what will this board look like.
Surprisingly we have had UNC's number, and frankly I'm not sure they can hang with Iowa this season at Carver, fans or no fans......
This board will meltdown every loss this team has. Fran will be blamed if he doesn’t go undefeated. In other words it’s business as usual.

0-2 wouldn't be ideal. But, the thing is, this is completely different than football. How a team started it's season means virtually nothing when it comes to tourney time.
If we're lucky enough to get some semblance of a season and an NCAA tourney, it's a lot more important that the team is peaking at the end of the season.

If we want to be in the NC conversation, we absolutely have to play and beat top teams like these.
If this team plays at their potential they will be insanely fun to watch. So many things have to fall your way to make the Final Four. Injuries, bad calls, off nights and just plain bad luck can all derail a season. Regardless of their record we will have a season to remember and be proud of as fans, because this will be one of the most talented teams ever to wear an Iowa uniform.
I expect us to go 1-1 with the loss to Gonzaga. won't be upset if that happens. We will not go undefeated as some people think
