any of the current top 4 teams (Baylor, Kansas, San Diego State, Gonzaga) had to play in the Big Ten this year? Where would they be rated nationally and what would be their W/L record after 20 conference games?

Baylor and Kansas would be top tier in Big10 too...don't fool yourself...

But I think college basketball is a landscape where any of the top teams can be beaten on a given day by any team in their conference...regardless of whether it's Big10 or Big12 or any other conference. Kansas is not that much better than the lower teams in their conference...same with Maryland...the lower teams all have some good players that on a given night can get hot and win...especially at home.

Unlike football, where the top teams are pretty sure to beat most teams when or where ever they play.

The NCAA tournament will be wide open this year as there are no real truly dominant teams. Michigan st. always seems to come alive in the tournament and go deep.
