for transgendered people who have to use public restrooms designated for people with their biological gender rather than the gender with which they identify? In other words, let's say you were born with a twig and berries but somewhere along the line you decided that you should have been born with a snatch. What aspect(s) of having to use a men's restroom or locker room infuriate you so much? Is it safety? Do you feel disrespected? Do you feel like it's emblematic of society rejecting you for who you feel you really are?

Furthermore, why is it okay to demand that all women be okay with sharing a restroom with pre-op trannies but it's small-minded and prejudiced to expect pre-op trannies to use the same bathroom as other people who were born with the same equipment?

By and large, the people that make a stink about this are people that don't really care about the issues as much as they care about making things difficult in general.

I believe this is true -- on both sides of the issue. I just can't make myself care about this subject no matter which side I'm viewing it from.

I do believe, as a matter of principle, that your gender is a biological question and not a psychological one. If you have a penis, you are a man. What I'm surprise doesn't come up is the very real topic of sexually ambiguous people, who do exist.

This is largely about people who aren't transgendered taking offense on behalf of those who are. Meanwhile, transgendered people always have, and will continue to, go to the bathroom.

People who question their worth need a cause to get behind to make themselves feel better. It makes them feel good to help others, and getting angry on behalf of others doesn't take much effort. They feel better about themselves, whether the trans-gendered people really wanted them to take up their cause or not.

To anyone who finds yourself taking up a cause on behalf of someone else, go look for a soup kitchen or a food bank and help people there instead, who really need it, and want it. It's a little more difficult than going on a twitter rant or making a sign and standing at the courthouse, but you might find you waste less time and feel just as good about yourself.
