No problem:

Emergency responders were investigating a call of shots fired at East Kimberly Road just east of Brady Street Monday afternoon, October 26, 2015.

There were more than a dozen emergency vehicles on the scene at the U.S. Navy Recruiting Center in the 700 block of Kimberly Road. Eastbound Kimberly Road was briefly blocked off from Davenport Avenue to Brady Street. The roadway was reopened around 2:30 p.m.

There were no reported injuries there, according to a police spokesperson.

Police confirmed that they were working a second location in the 4500 block of Utica Ridge Road in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Bettendorf's Public Information Officer, Lauren Haldeman confirmed that there had been someone who entered Miller Meier Limb & Brac Inc. Police were called to the scene, and by the time they arrived the person was outside and armed, according to Haldeman.

Haldeman said the shooter fired one round and died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

At that location, a sheet could be seen covering a body in the area and a tent was placed over it.

Officials had Utica Ridge Road blocked off from Terrace Park Drive to Crow Creek Road.

Several police squad cars, along with fire and ambulance were still on scene shortly before 3:30 p.m.

I wondered why the road was closed, and had to turn off on Crow Creek.

The armed forces center is right next to Kunkel's -- the sporting goods store of my youth.
