I graduated from Iowa in 1966, so I have been watching Iowa athletics since 1962. In that time there have been some really good teams and some outstanding players. That said, I believe this is the best Iowa TEAM that I have seen. Obviously they are great athletes, but it is the other qualities they display that makes this the GOAT Iowa team. They have a super star, but Keegan doesn't have to carry the load all by himself. Others step up when needed. The team has grit, they are humble even in victory, and don't lose their cool when times are tough. Rather they fight back when they seem overwhelmed and more often than not recover and go on to victory. Fran's coaching is superb. When things are not going well he makes adjustments which seem to correct problems quickly. I am sure there is more, but that is the essence of what I observed this season. I don't know how far they will go in the tournament, but regardless this team is special.
