I’ll pull for Jordan and the Hawkeyes regardless of how it plays out. It could work out just fine but we know to it could blow up. I tend to think Fran will make it work. Fingers crossed. If the players keep focusing on their job and that’s playing winning basketball is why I think it will work out. If not and begin to worry about their games and whether it will translate to the next level, then Boom. This may be Fran’s biggest challenge in his time here.

We all read the poll that the B1G coaches ranked Iowa as the 12th toughest job in the league due to various circumstances, yet we all expect McCaffery to deliver like we were the cream of the crop. I get as frustrated as the next fan at times, but overall, McCaffery usually does a fair amount with what he is given.

That said, I will predict a 6th-7th place finish. Under McCaffery, we have only finished in the bottom half of the conference twice: once his very first year and then again in the rather inexplicable 17-18 season.

I recall many games where the 2nd team significantly extended leads, many times with Nunge, but not always because of Nunge (but sometimes yes because if Nunge), and they routinely did so by preventing points.

murray was elite at D, JoeT and Perkins were plus at D, with PMac showing plus rebounding and shot blocking.

wiyhout JoeW / Luka they maybe challenged to score, but the defense will lead to offense.
