I would say 2008, the week before we lost at Illinois. We played pretty poorly at Illinois and lost, but then refocused and had one of the great wins of all time the next week, beating number 3 PSU.

The most embarrassing was when some fans said "bye" to Adam Shada by booing. It was one of the very few times I was embarrassed to be a Hawkeye fan.

Bob Bye was the football coach at Mason City High School in the early 80's. He succeeded Barry Alvarez, IIRC.
