The kid tried horchata for the first time tonight and didn't like it. I explained it was like the milk that's left over after a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. She thought that sounded unappealing, whereas I told her I'd forego the cereal just to get to the milk after.

So, other than the fact that I'm talking about a kid's cereal, what do you all prefer?

I try to hit that perfect calculus where you minimize the amount of wasted milk but still have a spoonful or so left when the cereal is gone.

I like that as well. I just couldn't imagine avoiding excess milk with each bite, finishing the cereal, and pouring the leftover milk out, which is what she's suggesting.

You know you can just buy a premixed cinnamon and sugar to pour into milk, right? I think my wife buys it from Penzy’s for when I make homemade Cinnamon Toast Crunch - which btw is fantastic and takes less time to make than a trip to the store

I didn't know that. I don't have cereal very often - maybe a couple of times per year. This came about because of a can of horchata, which I enjoy, but the kid doesn't.

This will be a contrarian opinion, but always thought it was a below-average cereal, which means below-average cereal milk, I cast a vote for no interest in either.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch is as tasty as Special K with 1 sweet-N-Low packet

Hey man, everyone likes different things. That's why there's a whole aisle of cereal.

Personally, original Cap'n Crunch is my GOAT, but I do like the Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
