What's going on with the Uyghur people in China?

China could have such great skiing.

Totally unrealized potential. Somebody smarter with more money than me will develop some resort outside of Urumqi (turn the Chinese onto skiing/snowboarding) and make a fortune. Urumqi could easily be the "Denver" of China with cheap and easy commercial flights from all over China.

I don’t know about the Olympics in Beijing. The max elevation in that area is like 2km. That’s going to be icy and the runs will be short. I don’t think they are going to come off great.

If they developed any of their 3km to 4km stuff in Qinghai and Xinjiang they’d rival the Alps. There are so many gradual grades. It could be paradise.
