Time to give up on Woodbury, he's been a liability his entire career. He's big, but he's also slow, uncoordinated, and too easily dominated by a quicker more athletic center. His foul and stupid, stupid turnover is what lost that game. It led to two Cyclone scores which sealed the game.

Gesell is horrible during the final two minutes of any game, the two minutes when point guard play is the most critical.

It was ridiculous. My fourth grade team can break a press or at least attempt to do better than that. No excuses for this loss. None.

You guys have been saying this about the guards for a long time but tonight it just hit me how weak they are at that position. Every time Clemmons runs the point the offense completely stalls and Gesell melts down anytime they need to close a game out. Wow.

There are better players coming. Be patient. Besides Utoff and Jok there are no other scorers on this team. ISU figured it out in the second half.

I truly almost turned it off at halftime, just so I could enjoy the feeling for awhile. I knew what the second half would be like, and unfortunately they didn't disappoint. That final few minutes was just hard to watch. It may be a very long B1G season.

Look folks, I agree that Clemmons and Gesell are pretty pedestrian at the point, but Fran is the guy not upgrading that spot on the roster. Same with Woodbury. Easy to point out faults and I did my fair share of screaming at MG through my TV, but these guys were maxed out on the talent meter the second they stepped on campus. Fran and Company will never rise above mediocre without landing a difference maker vs. game manager PG.
