and with 5 great home games on schedule, great players returning and fan enthusiasm at an all time high, how fast do they sell out of season tix????

This may be the first year since I was in school (2 yeas ago) I can afford season tickets. I went to the games this year and scalped cheap tickets but want to know I have the tickets locked up heading into next year. I would also like to know when they go on sale?

Wow what a difference a year can make, last year was pretty much the opposite threads. I still find it absolutely hilarious that those fans who were crying last year like a little girl who didn't get their favorite toy at the store missed out on a historical season and the icing on the cake is the fact that even if they wanted to go to the Rose Bowl they have to buy their ticket on the secondary market for an outrageous price!!!! Hopefully a lesson is learned here that nobody likes fare weather fans.....you can paint it any way that you want to, the fact is if you gave up your season tickets you are by definition a fare weather fan

I still bought mine, but kid commitments kept me away from most games. So does that make me a fair weather fan? My brother in law went to 5 of the games and I went to 1 and sold the other game.

I plan on buying again next year, knowing I will not be able to attend more than 1 game. I will just give them to family and friends and hopefully earn some more points toward the priority system.

I prefer to look at it as expressing my disatisfaction with the football program by not renewing, as did many others. The results you saw on the field this year were at least in part due to the decline in attendance. For that "your welcome"

They usually go on sale in March (for renewals...not sure about first time buyers).

I kept mine, even though I didn't want to because of the product on the field, but mainly the piss poor home schedule. Man that was bad.

The attendance numbers were announced in January?

Some of you with this "because I did not renew my season tickets we won on the field" is such BS and crap....because I decided to not support the team anymore we saw success is the most delusional narcisitic thinking I have ever come across.....I will enjoy my Rose Bowl experience for $150 dollars in thanks to father (who has been a loyal season ticket holder since 1974)who taught me the importance of commitment and support (through good times and bad).....I was not any less of an Iowa fan in 1999 than I was in 2015. I live out of state and coach football in the fall so I cannot support by going to as many games as I would like, but continue to support through donations on a yearly basis (although small)

Absolutely not, your intentions were to continue to support the Hawkeyes even when things looked a little bleak. Circumstances prevented you from doing so, that is very different than those that stopped supporting the team/program

The team didn't win this year because you canceled your tickets and made some kind of statement. They won because they were embarassed by the results last year and sick of losing, therefore they busted their tails in the offseason to make sure it didn't happen again.

Okay good!! I will always get tickets regardless if we can go or not. I love the hawks and being in Indy last weekend made me realize, Iowa does have one of the best fan bases in the world. Seeing the black and gold all over the place was awesome!

You do realize that some of the best, most loyal Hawkeye fans have never even seen Kinnick stadium.

It's cute that you think you had anything to do with the hundred players busting their ass for the past year. Insiders shake their heads at bullshit like this.

Absolutely, but they are not the ones we are talking about. Sometimes distance, economics, or other circumstances would prevent that. THese are not the people we are talking about, we are talking about the fans who dipped out this year because well......they are simply fair weather fans and as I stated before I find it hilarious they missed out on this magical year and even funnier that they will probably miss out on the Rose Bowl experience. Life lesson, commitment is not only for when things are good and things look rosey (no pun intended) but true commitment is sticking it out when times are rough

What is irritating is when the I'm dropping tix fans come back with they are a better fan because they made a stand.
