Where does CJ Bethard end up? Vikings?

The Vikings need a veteran QB to back up JJ McCarthy. He was even with Sam Darnold before he hurt the knee so they aren't looking for a vet to start. Looking at this list, Jameis, Teddy Bridgewater, Wentz and CJ jump out at veteran back ups. CJ is the youngest of that bunch. It'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

If he wants to keep playing and mainly practicing I hope he can land somewhere. I would really like to see him get more than a few starts in a row to prove what he can do. He has made a ton of money which is great to see but I am sure he wants to prove himself. He has done well when he has had a chance to play.

But some people also say the best job in baseball is 3rd string/bullpen catcher. Make big dough but dont really play.

He actually looks really polished when he does get to play.
Not so sure he wouldn't be a better starter than some of the teams in the league have.

CJ Beathard is better than at least one third of the starting QBs in the NFL. But he's never really had a fair shot. When he did get to play several games back with the 49ers, SF had the worst OL in the entire damn league.

CJ is an example of something that many fans don't understand: It takes talent to be successful, but it also takes opportunity. Ask Kurt Warner. Had the two QBs ahead of him not been severely injured, he would have been a career clipboard holder, and no one would ever have known he was actually a HOF quarterback who was the MVP of the entire damn NFL and of the Super Bowl.

But if you don't get a chance, you can't do a thing. Had CJ ended up in the right situation, he could have been one of the better QBs in the NFL for a long time.

He is in the league because of his grand daddy .... end of story. Like the no-talent Ferentz clowns playing for Belicreep at NE. All who you know, those clods had no business being in the NFL taking spots for guys that did.

Listen, I'm not KF's biggest fan but who pissed in your wheaties? NFL is a business that doesn't really offer you a free pass simply because of who you know or where you played college ball.
