Which City In Iowa Has The Best July 4th Fireworks?

Perhaps you have witnessed a July 4th Fireworks in Iowa
during the past 5 years. I have not been in Iowa for this
holiday for a long time. My best fireworks display to watch
was at Disneyland some years ago.

Storm Lake used to have good 4th festivities, including fireworks.

I'm from Independence and you would think with that name the 4th would be kick butt, and you would be wrong.

Fireworks at the state capital were quite good, haven't done them there lately though.

10+ years ago I spent the 4th in St. Louis. Their fireworks on the river were quite amazing.

have anything worthwhile on the 4th of July? Perhaps at
Modern Woodsmen Stadium?

Sioux City may not have the best, but there's only a few places in the state where you can get a view of fireworks going off from three different states at once.

I went to independence last year and thought they were pretty good.

Allegedly, Davenport and Rock Island's joint Red, White and Boom fireworks this year have been doubled in size and are the largest display between Chicago and Denver. They are shooting them off of two fully loaded barges in the Mississippi.

Went there a couple years ago to visit my parents and was pleasantly surprised. Growing up, they held them out by the MHI property. Thought having them down by the river was an improvement.
