Has to be more than Gaetz... gotta be several sitting congressmen they way they are hiding this.
Has to be someone that can’t absorb the hit PR wise as well. Or the comments are horrific enough it doesn’t matter who did it. They must resign.
I would lean towards Johnson since it was his staff as a high probability. I don't think its Gaetz as they don't care about him (even if he did send some). It likely has to be someone who was tight with the administration.
The margins are slim as well. In both chambers. Let’s say it takes two reps down. With special elections not until April/May. The house would be split. Now the Senate say it is Rand Paul or somewhere else a Dem Governor is in charge say Wisconsin. Go from a 3 vote lead to one. And with Lisa and Susan bucking the GOP on more difficult legislation. It makes passing things that are already difficult impossible.
Can't imagine how bad the comments would have to be for a Republican to have to resign. The only reason Gaetz is gone is because he stepped down when he received the AG nomination. We'll never know if any consequences would have resulted from their investigation of him.
Idk, he’s more in charge of keeping the majority. Does give the creep vibes. But there are a lot of creeps in politics.

Might not be someone slick enough to get away with it. Not everyone is Bill Clinton or Donald Trump. Some live in districts that won’t put up with nonsense.
She was 21/22 when she received the texts. It might lead into more digging in someone’s closet.

I understand the voters might not choose them the next time, but I can't imagine their peers forcing anyone to resign.
BTW Clinton was a philanderer, but compared to Trump he is an angel.
As I said someone might not want others to look closer at them. Might be something in the closet that could lead to something really bad.
As for Clinton not doing the relative game. He had a relationship with a 22 year old while POTUS. He knew exactly how bad things could get for her in his world. And still chose to screw her. The power dynamics alone are crazy. Republicans messed up impeach him for inappropriate relationships with subordinate. The lying or perjury wasn’t going to fly. The act of what he did was the crime.
I don’t think it was Johnson. That little creep wears makeup, and very likely women’s panties and a butt plug on the House floor.
