Jha said there is “no viable alternative path” right now than to have the U.S. government take the lead in securing COVID-19 vaccines and treatments, rather than allowing the commercial market deal with procurement as with other medical treatments. He cited the global mismatch between supply and demand.

“We have to have the US government still playing an active role,” he said. “That role will change over time. But right now that’s still critical.”

What mismatch? There's plenty of supply and a lack of people lining up to get stabbed in the arm.

Alright, I say it.

We would have been better off to bite thr bullet and just let it run rampant in thr beginning instead of this continuous chase of the dragon.

[whispers] Just do your part.
If you want, you mean? The vaccine doesn't prevent you from getting it, doesn't less the chance you can get it, and does not prevent or lessen the possibility of you transmitting it. Meaning, being vaccinated does nothing for your grandmother. Therefore, the vaccine is only a personal thing. That is of course, unless you're a politician that needs to score points.

Pharma got government in their back pocket. No reason why the government should be giving exorbitant amounts of money for products that weren't as advertised. When does it end? How many boosters are enough? We've been fleeced more than enough already...
