The Sox were under performing. Its about damn time. As for Ventura, he still leaves a lot to be desired as a manager.In one of the Oakland games the other night he switched pitchers before the pinch hitter was announced and ended up with Duke facing a righty. That's just terrible. The big thing is, managers are overrated generally. I think that statistically a manager can only add or subtract maybe one win a season.

The Sox could win 16 in a row and they'd still be less of a story than the Cubs being a .500 team this year. And, speaking of Hawk Harrelson, he is really slipping. It's a shame. He was always terrible as a broadcaster, but, it sucks to hear him just go like that on the air. He has gaps of silence lasting 20-30 seconds. He made some nutty comment over the weekend about black guys not being funny in the clubhouse. Reinsdorf needs to put him out to pasture.

Whats your point? I get that they are a story. Certain teams always get more coverage. As a White Sox fan I don't care. That's my point. I have seen the Sox win a World Series and some other division titles.
