Why is Iowa State nor Minnesota on this list?
Because I consider both of those programs a notch below Iowa.
And you put Neb on the list??
But Nebraska is two notches below Iowa
Wisconsin. I remember when that program was a doormat. Hope they are again very soon.
I would've said Nebraska a couple years ago, but now it feels kind of like hating someone with a disability. I respect Wisconsin and the way they play too much to hate them. Dantonio is still scum, so I cast my vote there.
Northwestern easy because they are the team I think we should always beat but Ferentz has a worse record vs them than he does vs Michigan which is insane
As a Purdue fan I can assure you we don’t hate or disrespect you
Notre Dame should be on the list. And the SEC.

I can drink during a game with Wisconsin fans, not Nebraska fans.
Hate may be a bit strong but Wisconsin has been a thorn in Iowa’s side beginning with the fake punt game in 2010.
Easily Nebby, mostly because of their arrogant, insufferable fan base. I’m enjoying the dumpster fire coming from Lincoln immensely

You look at Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Purdue, Indiana, Northwestern, Nebraska and Minnesota, none of these schools dominate recruiting hotbeds. So success is just harder. And yet for my money the only fans of the bunch who act like suckeye fans are Wisconsin and Nebraska ... and Nebraska hasn’t been as good as Ohio $$$$ University since I was in junior high beating it to Paula Abdul
No. Has NOTHING to do with that. It dates back to conference realignment Legends/Leaders and Delaney named the cross division “rivalry” game Iowa would play every year as Purdue making both fan bases scratch their head saying “rivals”?? Thus the “our hated Purdue rivals” is still said in reference to Delaney NAMING us rivals.

I would probably say I feel like Wisconsin is our biggest rival. Rivalries are always fun, but there's never any rationalization for hate.
There's a ton of rationalization if you live around arrogant Nebraska fans.

Ia state & Minnesota have not had near the success of Iowa over the last 15/20 years, Purdue, Indiana & illinois are teams I feel Iowa should beat every year, Maryland & Rutgers haven't been around long enough to really dislike.

Just out of curiosity, where did this “Purdue is our most hated rival” thing come from with some of you? My family’s from Iowa (I was born there, we moved to Indiana when I was 3), and when I asked my dad, a lifelong Hawkeye fan, about it, he looked confused and said, “No, Iowa St is our biggest rival.”
