Who do you like in the first two weeks of the B1G West?

1. Iowa starting 2-0 @ UW and vs. Illinois would be awesome, ahead of Iowa's bye week.

2. Wisconsin - they very well could be the team to beat. They have the most favorable schedule, since they host Iowa ... and play Maryland and Rutgers, the two down programs in the East.

3. Nebraska - I could see the Fighting Illini giving the Cornhuskers a run for the money in the Big Ten opener. Something about the Bill Cubit era in Champaign.

After Iowa @ UW and UNL @ Illinois ... Wisconsin travels to Nebraska. A 2-0 start for the Badgers would be huge, as well. By the way, the Badgers play Purdue and @ Illinois, after the first two games.

4. Minnesota - they open with back to back road games against Northwestern and @ Purdue. Neither game is a gimme. Purdue took Minnesota to the wire last season, in a 39-38 game up North.

5. Northwestern - How healthy are the Wildcats? They had several injuries against Ball State. They travel to Ann Arbor to face Jake Rudock and the Fighting Harbaughs. Tough two game stretch for Pat Fitzgerald. They were 4-0 in 2013, as well. Then finished 5-7 and followed it up with 5-7, last year.

6. Illinois - I hope they knock off the Cornhuskers.

7. Purdue - They have to travel to East Lansing in the Big Ten opener. Iowa did that in 2012. Wow, remember what happened?

It is going to be an exciting Big Ten race, especially in the Wild, Wild West?
