I wouldn't bet against Illinois right now, but would be elated if they did lose along the way.
Zags, which is unfortunate for us.
Gonzaga and Illinois are the HEAVY favorites, deservedly so (PUKE!!!!!!!), but how many times do the heavy favorites reach the F4, national championship game, or the title?

I would put all the monies on Illinois. Both have amazing guards, Zaga doesn't have a Cockburn.
Mark Few is the best coach in basketball by far. He’d either stop Kofi or the guards.
I think Baylor is one of them. I don't think Illinois does as good as everyone thinks.
I remember two weeks ago when everyone thought Michigan was invincible, would beat Gonzaga no one took Illinois seriously.
Realistically it’s going to be one of Gonzaga, Illinois, or Baylor. Everyone else is too flawed or hampered by injuries to expect a natty.
And now Livers is out. Dickinson is getting called for fouls. Those guys are toast
Laugh but i still have PTSD from our last #3 seed debacle from mid southern eastern west state.
There have been better teams than Gonzaga that have gone into the tournament undefeated and ended up losing. I will be surprised if the Zags do it.
true... but I think what we all “know” now is Michigan is a lot like Iowa. A very good if not great team, but not on the level of the top 3
Gonzaga is the best team without a doubt. Was hoping Iowa could avoid seeing them until the final four round. With that said, the best team doesn't always win.
It wasn’t the only time an Alfraud team got upended early. I believe he had a highly ranked UNM team get bounced in the opening round.
I think Fran is a little better than that.

To be fair, Fran never had a highly-ranked team going into the NCAA’s. Has he had a team higher than a 7 seed prior to this year?
And he did have a deep NIT run a few years back.
