Its been an eventful off-season for Iowa wrestling!! Who is next to jump on the 2018 train??

Will getting Lugo decrease our chances with Sasso and Rider?
I think the answer to this question depends on the kid and there situation. Most believe Sasso is down to Iowa and tOSU. His situation would be the same at either place if Mckenna ends up at tOSU and takes a RS. VT is putting in a hard push for him also. Will see what happens.

PD3...

I have no idea where he's going but this tweet was interesting this morning. I'd love to see him commit to dropping twitter for a year and coming to Iowa and put 110% focus into the room. I think TnT would be a giant help to him and I'm not talking wrestling. Right, wrong or indifferent he's a huge talent.

Maybe the big move he is referring to is a bowel movement.

There's an interesting nugget on an Ohiowrestling board about re: McKenna and Iowa (positive in nature).

I'm not an Iowa fan so I'll let you fine folks get to googling/sleuthing and such

There's a fellow that has no difficulty getting releases.

In your plan will he also commit to working hard on the mat, in the classroom, being a good teammate and not being an overall d-bag?

How does a guy who takes over 2 years to get an AA degree earn a BA from ISU in under a year and a half--while spending most of that time partying like it's 1999?

Yeah that's my all encompassing plan under TnT:)

Keep in mind its EARLY-- many recruits set up official visits late summer early fall and dont decide until after those.

Might be slow news until signing day--or close to it!

I think he is referring to Patrick Campbell saying on FB that Joey M may go to Iowa.

I'm not the expert many of you are so I don't know who Patrick Campbell is.

Ohiowrestling.net is fairly unique in that they vet/screen all proposed new participants I believe. Thus, there are no trolls on the site and most posters are pretty dialed in. Not an active board, but it has a good ratio of juicy info to typical message board bs/fluff. I think the Patrick Campbell alluded to is a pretty active member, though he's not one of the key insiders like Bob Preusse I don't think.

Here's a link to their board. It's one of my go-to sites.

Maybe he's just on an unofficial visit...

If he was in to working out, he just missed an exciting log carrying fitness challenge in Iowa City.

Isn't a release a non-issue? I thought he couldn't compete unless he was a grad transfer, and a grad transfer isn't bound by a release (?). Or is it that he'd need a release to practice (or speak with) with a new team before the degree was granted?
