I know people got a little crazy with the the Supreme Court ruling and all. But I had someone try to make the argument that, Women were the most oppressed minority in America now.

The difference in pay is unfair. But I have a hard time buying Women, who there are more than men in America are a minority, let alone the most oppressed.

So what do you say?

BRB. Gonna fetch my intersectional matrices.

Ehhh...no. They're the majority of people.

Women are just as much in opposition to abortion as men.

Women "oppress" women like men do.

The patriarchy was largely a fairytale. (insomuch as women were basically as much social enforcers of gender norms as men -- this was cross cultural, worldwide stuff... post industrial, post enlightenment societies evolved past it)

Tell any person that thinks they are in the group that is the most oppressed to go live on a non-casino supported reservation for a year. I think everyone will give you the same answer then.

Hard to say. There is no doubt women will take an overall hit with the abortion ruling. Young women will drop out of school (high school, college) because of unwanted pregnancies...

It's tough being a straight white male these days. You can't be overt with your displeasure of other races or genders or sexual orientation. It's just crazy. We have to dog whistle or use other subtle ways to get our message across. Just so unfair!

White Christian, racist women and white racist violent men.

they have all the answers too. Don’t need to ask questions. Just seek TRIUMPH of their will, which is God’s will! A-Merika and A-Men!

Native Americans AINEC.
Since they lost 95% of their population to genocide, we just don’t see them or their losses. I’ve driven through reservations before, always in arid awful Land our great government “gave” them. But some here will talk about how casinos have made up for it, I’m sure.

In Nwest Iowa I would say gay people. My wife took part in an interview for a gay man who was a bit fabulous, but super qualified for the job and would have been great for her employer. The other people in the interview didnt even give the guy a chance. She came home crying because she felt so bad for the way everyone treated this guy.

For reformed churches up here, its not enough to not be gay. You have to also hate gay people and people talk about it freely.

Im all for an arguement that Natives were mistreated, killed and had their land stolen. Absolutely thats true, but disease was the main culprit of all those deaths. It should atleast be acknowledged.

At least it isn't too widespread. (probably in part because they all move to more socially liberal and economically advantaged locations)

I actually kind of feel bad for many of these guys. They offer little to the market. Many have little education, poor social skills, and are overweight, while they have to sit back and watch a young, educated kids/women/minorities become their boss and explain how to get into their email.

Growing up their fathers were revered in the community for just being the patriarch in their white Christian family and thats just not a thing anymore.

No one told them they needed to be prepared to adapt with the times.

I don't feel bad for them at all

Asians. They’re clearly a minority, but get none of the perks. They are often times specifically excluded from “minority calculations”.
