Who should be the next James Bond?

Maybe too well known, but Cillian Murphy, Hiddleston, or Tom Hardy. (Elba would be great, but didn't he already play that down?).

I don't think Daniel Kaluuya has the 007 swagger, but just based on acting skills I think he would bring a new style to James Bond.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson would have my vote if we're sticking to the traditional James Bond format. He was great in Bullet Train.

James Bond, the character, is a white, British, male. Again, they killed him off, so how can they possibly come out with another James Bond movie? They killed the franchise in the last movie, and YES, I was pissed.
They've gone back and forth in the Bond "timeline" (as far as one exists) plenty of times. Doesn't matter that the last movie would be called the last chapter. They can make more movies that take place before that. Kind of a Dread Pirate Roberts situation.

He was fine, didn't strike me as Bond-like. But I've not seen him in anything else.

All things considered with the studio and where the franchise stands, I rather think they could do well switching to a more frequent TV-series type approach. One hour micro segments that allow for quicker production while still allowing for longer form storylines.

Stefano DiMera from Days of Our Lives has "died" at least 13 times. He's been faked dead, shot, and blown up, and he's even survived being in a fire twice.

So much this! The first novel was written in the 1950's. Bond would be well over 100 years old by now. WHY are we even considering continuing this farce of a franchise? Bond would almost certainly be dead by now, there's no way he could be a effective agent at his age. It should have ended DECADES ago.

Ian Fleming died in 1964. Technically, that's when Bond died. These new people can do to the character whatever the hell they want. If you were going to be a stickler to the rules you should have been complaining that Bond wasn't 89 years old in these last few.
