There was a reason Biden pardoned his family members back to 2014. He thought his political career was over and decided to turn on the money laundering and grift spigot to make his family wealthy off the backs of U.S. taxpayers.
8.1 didn't go to politico specifically from usaid, that was across a number of agencies. I also heard somewhere the number was as high as 16mm across all federal government.

Honestly if this were a private company, this kind of cutting would be expected. In this particular case I'm sure there are some individuals who would benefit from a politico pro license, but my guess is many of them had it and barely used it. That always happens in organizations with subscriptions like this.
We should expect this kind of cutting in the federal government too, it's just good practice.

But the story here isn’t that DOGE has decided to review the government’s 200-odd agencies each paying subscriptions for news services. The story promoted is that Biden funneled millions of dollars to media outlets in order to influence their reporting. Which is false.
Maybe false, or there may be some truth to it. We'll never know, and frankly it doesn't matter.
